Love Ka The End, the new release of this week aims at targeting the youth of present day. It is a film made keeping purely the young generation in mind.

The film talks of modern day women living in the big cities of the country, who on being rejected by their love interest or any other male for that matter, do not sit in a corner and shed tears. In big cities like Delhi and Mumbai, breaking-up of a relationship is considered quite normal and the boys and girls of present day believe in moving on and continuing with their life, if something of that sort happens with them.

The story of the film shows that instead of going into the mood of self-pity the young adults even go to the extent of seeking revenge, if they find that their partner has cheated upon them. But instead of following the typical Bollywood style, which looks impractical at times, Love Ka The End adopts a slightly different way of seeking revenge, which is fun watching as a viewer.

Love Ka The End is a story of a very ordinary college going girl Rhea [Shraddha Kapoor], who is in love with one of the most popular boy of her college Luv Nanda [Taaha Shah]. But on Rhea’s 18 birthday, just when she has decided to commit herself in this relation, she finds out that Luv is actually not a good man. But without loosing her tamper, Rhea with the help of her friends, plans to show the real face of Luv to the world.

Love Ka The End is a film that tells the story of a young generation and its focus audiences is also the young generation. The film put forward certain ideas, which only a teenager can have and may seem a little childish for grown-up and matured people. But then, when you see the film, just look back and think of the times when you yourself were in the same age group. This is a time phase in one’s life when you just do things without thinking about its consequences. That’s precisely what the story is trying to convey. There are situations in the film, which may seem foolish to a matured person, but seem perfectly logical from the viewpoint of a teenager.

The fact that it is a film that tells the story of a young generation and its focus audiences is also the young generation, has been throughout kept in mind by the first-time director Bumpy. A young boy, who cares a damn about anything, his street smart friends and those pretty girls, the film has everything that the young generation of the present day would enjoy. Along with that despite putting in some weird situations, the director has ensured that the young generation can relate to the characters in the film, which look almost real. Further, even the pace of the film and the dialogues are quite interesting to make the youth of today to hold on to their seat. The film also has some good comic situations.

Still, given the tale the director is trying to tell through Love Ka The End, the story and the screenplay could have been improved even further. The film becomes a little boring in the middle before it again picks-up at the climax. Since it is a film for the youth, the music of the film is also such, which will only appeal to today’s teenage generation.

The film features a new pair of Shraddha and Taaha in the lead roles and both of them have given a very good performance. They have been supported by other young artists like Jugs, Sonia, Timmy, Golu, Karthikeyan, Natasha and Ali Zafar, who are all equally good. Surprisingly, if someone has let down in the film, it’s the team of senior artists like, Shenaz Treasurywala and Archana Puransingh, who seem to be slightly repetitive.

Love Ka The End is for young generation, who like fun movies. This is one of those.
