The Volvo XC60 is powered by a 2.4 litre, 5 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that lays out maximum power of 205hp at 4000 rpm and belts out maximum torque of 420 Nm at 1500-3250 rpm. The car comes featured with Laser assisted automatic braking, Haldex AWD with instant traction,9 exterior body colors, twin tone leather interiors, turn with steering lights, Sill descent control, reverse and front camera, 19 inches alloy wheels, Satellite navigation system, etc.

Well known Swedish automotive company Volvo has launched a new luxury compact SUV or a crossover in India called Volvo XC60 that carries advanced technology, style, comfort and performance better than its competitors in India. The car like Volvo XC60 leaves a great impression in any auto market. The compact SUV is made available in India via CBU (Completely Built Units) route; the car is produced in its Ghent-Belgium plant. The newly launched Volvo XC60 is powered by latest generation 2.4 litre, 2400cc, 5 cylinder, D5 Twin-Turbo & Peizo high-pressure technology diesel engine that churns out a top power of 205 hp at 4000 rpm and returns maximum torque of 420 Nm at 1500-3250 rpm with the help of six-speed geartronic transmission gearbox. With the six speed geartronic gearbox, the Volvo XC60 can touch 0-100 kmph mark in just 8.9 seconds while the it takes 8.5 seconds to chase the same sprint.

Volvo XC60 Exteriors Exterior Appearance
The Volvo XC60 looks majestic with its crossover look due to its front design. The grille has the company's logo spreading across it. The lower grille or air intake designed in honeycomb style has it own case that has just opposite design of the upper grille. The Volvo XC60 comes fitted with human eye shaped headlamps with perfect finish. The same is the case with front fog lamps but they are a little smaller in size. Nonetheless, these speak a lot about the design. The designers of the car took some details from Volvo V70 and XC70 station wagons, and used them with a slight change that is noticeable in the front view of the car.
The Volvo XC60 is dressed with body colour with grey shade on the outside rear view mirrors, LED indicator and door handles. The front bumper along with side skirts is wrapped in light grey.
The tail side view of the car is altogether different from the front one due to its design, shape and style. The tail lamps have vertical cluster that is lengthier but looks amazing. The rear side has LED brake light at spoiler which is located at the tip of the rear side roof. Rear bumper of the Volvo XC60 that houses chrome finished twin exhausts is also present in light black colour or grey.

Engine Capacity and Performance
As mentioned earlier, Volvo XC60 is expected to be launched in both diesel and petrol versions carrying their own sub-variants down the line, loaded with really strong power-train. Diesel variants are expected to be released with three different engines; 2.4D, 2.4D DRIVe and D5 AWD and all three variants offer excellent performance and have the competency to generate maximum power of 175 bhp, 175 bhp and 205 bhp respectively at 4000 rpm and maximum torque capacity of 420 NM at 1500-2750 and 1500-3250 rpm (for high end model). All the diesel variants are powered with a 2400 cc engine.
All variants are mated with five cylinders. The 2.4 D variant is powered by a five cylinder turbo charged diesel engine along with six speed geartronic transmission while the 2.4D DRIVe has six speed manual gearbox. The top end variant comes with both six speed geartronic and manual transmission.
Petrol versions of Volvo XC60 are also expected to be powered by two types of engines, 3.2 AWD and T6 AWD with the engine displacement of 3192cc and 2953 cc respectively. The first 3.2 AWD would offer maximum power of 238 bhp at 6200 rpm and maximum torque of 320 Nm at 3200 rpm and the second T6 AWD is expected to produce maximum horsepower and torque of 285 bhp at 5600 rpm and 400 Nm at 1500-4800 rpm respectively.
The variants are loaded with five cylinders and an all wheel drive. The transmission type is six speed geartronic.
Wheels
Designers of the car have worked carefully on each aspect of the all new Volvo XC60 including its wheels. Here again, it is expected that the company might launch three types of aluminium wheels; mantus 7.5x18 silver stone, merac 7.5x18 silver bright and Segin 7.5x17 silver stone for buyers to take their pick.
Braking and Handling
The all new Volvo XC60 is expected to be launched with four wheel disc brakes that help in halting the car instantly esp. during heavy traffic. Other features like four-C(continuously controlled chassis concept) improves the car's handling, DSTC anti-skid system prevents vehicle from skidding , RSC active stability system helps in getting stable at the time any hurdle comes.
The brakes comprise of ABS with hydraulic brake assist (HBA) and ready alert brakes (RAB).
