2010 Tata Aria Review

Indian luxury car manufacturing company Tata has launched their premium SUV Tata Aria in Indian market. Tata Aria is the first Indian four wheelers which are offered with crossover body. This sedan is powered by Tata’s own fabricated diesel engine. Tata Aria is available with four exciting trim levels. Tata Aria competes with Toyota’s Innova which is much better in terms of styling, design, inner, safety and exterior. Toyota Innova is the most successful crossover SUV in India and has sold around 1, 32,045 units since 2005. Tata Aria comes with all time four wheel drives. Tata Aria is being made available within 25 cities across India with more than 70 dealers. Tata Aria is also packed with highly developed features that include both safety and comfort features. This luxury sedan is all set to give stiff competition to Ford Endeavour, Toyota Innova, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva and up coming Skoda Yeti.  Tata Aria is a seven seated Sports Utility Vehicle which was first showcased in Geneva auto show in 2000. Aria is one of the safest and comfortable sedan with cool designed and spacious sedans.  The four trim levels of Tata Aria are Tata Aria Pleasure Fabric, Tata Aria Prestige Fabric, Tata Aria Prestige Leather and Tata Aria Pride Leather.

Trim levels and their features:

As already mentioned Tata Aria Pride is offered with four trim levels.

Tata Aria Fabric: This trim level is the basic variant of Aria and this variant is offered with beig and black inners, air bags for both driver and passengers wooden inserts, dual AC, chrome plated grille, adjustable rear view mirrors, 16 inch wheels made of steel and body colored grab rail.

Tata Aria Prestige Fabric: This trim level is a slight highly developed version of Aria which will be installed with 5 phone pairing cable, air bags for co-driver, dual AC, ultrasonic reverse guide system, adjustable and retraceable rear view mirrors, darkness sensing headlights, rain sensing wipers, 17 inch alloy wheel, chrome grille, body shaded grab rail, fabric upholstery and beige and black inners.

Tata Aria Prestige Leather: This trim level is offered with prestige fabric along with full leather upholstery and full black of black and plum inners.

Tata Aria Pride Leather: This is the top variant in this model which will be armored with six air bags, curtain and side air bags, and some of the highly developed safety features like Electronic Stability program, Traction control, Blue connect, reverse guide system, satellite navigation system, electrically adjustable and retractable rear view mirrors, glove box chiller, darkness sensing head lights, rain sensing wipers, full leather upholstery, 17 inch alloy wheel, body shaded rub rails, AC with automatic climate control feature and cruise control.

Engine:

The technical pattern of Tata Aria was revealed in Delhi auto expo. This sedan will be armored with Tata’s highly developed engine technology. Engine of Tata Aria is very much similar to Tata Safari but with minor alteration. This engine is fabricated with rubber moulds, better auditory package, aluminum cast sump, dual mass flywheel which helps in reducing unwanted vibrations and improves the overall performance of the engine. Overall performance of this sedan is far better than Tata Safari.

    Tata Aria is offered with most sophisticated features. Tata Aria is a cross over sedan with aggressive front looks. Tata Aria looks very much similar to Multi Utility Vehicle with its large muscular body and sporty wheels. Tata Aria is offered with latest body design which is seen for the first time in an Indian SUV. Exterior looks of this sedan is improved by turn indicators mounted on rear view mirrors. This sedan is offered with bonnet head lamps which presents traditional looks and resembles Tata Motors portfolio. Front view of this sedan is very attractive with stacked double barrel headlamp with dark sensing feature. Wheel arches and bumpers are painted with body shade and even rub rails are also offered with body shade.

    Exterior Dimension:

    Tata Aria is the most high priced sedan from Tata Motors. This sedan is offered with highly developed inner fabric and highly developed instruments. This sedan is offered with tilted and telescopic steering wheel with four spokes with audio and other control buttons mounted on it, highly developed instrument cluster placed just behind steering wheel which looks pretty much similar to Moto GP cars.

    Suspension, Wheels and Brakes:

    Tata Aria has faced number of crash test and has performed well and also has secured some good numbers. The most highly developed vehicles from Tata motors are installed with highly developed and standard safety features. Some of the most important safety features are: Antilock Braking System, Electronic Stability Program, Traction Control System, six air bags, and cruise control.
