Innova the first MUV from Toyota is already doing extremely well and now the company is planning to add another Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV), the 'Toyota Avanza' to its fleet. In next few years the Indian MUV car segment market is expected to sour with tough competition amongst various manufactures within the same segment. Avanza is expected to be a bit smaller than Innova and cheaper, and will have a seating capacity for five. This mini Innova is already been a success in Thailand and the company is expecting the same response in India as well.
The exterior appearance of this mini MUV is much similar to that of Innova. The front grille is now more classy with body color bumpers. Equipped with a large 45 litres fuel tank, it is quite suitable for a city drive. The expected price tag for Toyota Avanza is Rs. 7 lacs. Toyota India is expecting a high demand for this vehicle in comparison to Innova, probably due to lesser price.
